There are numerous benefits to consider when taking babies swimming. Here are just a few:
1) Physical benefits include a stronger heart and lungs, improved strength and stamina, improved co-ordination and agility as well as stimulating awareness and alertness.
2) Parents have advised us that it can help to build a unique special bond between them as well as help to develop regular sleeping and eating patterns.
3) Research has shown that babies who swim are far more ahead of babies who had not partaken in any swimming. Furthermore "swimming babies" showed a higher intelligence, better social skills, were more independent, less timid and could cope better with new and strange situations. Furthermore a Finish study observed that swimming babies were ahead in areas such as control of their vertical position and muscle strength.*
